Nathan Roberts of FlatEarthDoctrine posted the following false teaching.
Flat earther Nathan Roberts proclaimed on his FlatEarthDoctrine Facebook page:
When the 2 greatest commandments are upheld, only possible through the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:13-26), then which of the Law and prophets, that hinge on the 2 Commandments, are not, by default and inherently, fulfilled automatically by Christ on our behalf?
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 KJV
There is no law for the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:22-25 KJV
Flat earther Rob Skiba commented:
You STILL don’t understand what the first of the 2 “greatest commandments” means? Dude. How many more Scriptures will it take than the MANY I’ve already shown you? Once you actually understand and BELIEVE what the BIBLE has to say concerning the 1st commandment to “love God with all your heart, soul and mind” you will realize the errors in your doctrine. The first great commandment is to “love God.” So, HOW do we do this ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE?
1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For THIS IS THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. And his commandments are not burdensome.
This isn’t rocket science. So, what part of the above SCRIPTURE is confusing to you? John summed it up so clear a CHILD could get it – yet for some odd reason, you and Dean seem totally incapable of doing so.
