Christmas Replaces The Father’s Feast Of Tabernacles

This Revelation 18:4 – Come Out Of Her study from David Nikao shows that 12/25 is the worst day to celebrate Messiah’s birth.

Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, the Birthday of the Unconquered Sun, is a 4300 year old celebration marking the annual death and re-birth of the Sun god, Marduk, Sin, Shamash etc., on Dec. 25. Romans called the week long event Saturnalia.

They believe that the sun dies on the winter solstice, which occurs on 12/21, when the Sun is furthest away from the Earth and the days are the shortest.

They believe that the Sun is dead for 3 days, and its rebirth is celebrated on the 25th.

The birthday of the Babylonian sun god of Tammuz, the Egyptian sun god Ra, the Greek sun god Helios, and the Roman sun god Mithra, are all celebrated on 12/25.

This is the one day of the year that Christians should not chose to celebrate the birth of their Messiah.

Bible scholars agree that Christ was born in the Fall.

Our Messiah was born during the Feast of Tabernacles, which corresponds to the September – October time frame of our present calendar.

Celebrating His birth on 12/25 removes part of the Father’s redemption story of mankind, as our Messiah dwelt amongst us.

And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

At the end of the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, the Temple was gloriously illuminated by many candles.

During the Feast of Tabernacles, Messiah related this to Himself, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12).

The seventh day became known as Hoshana Rabba, “the Great Day.” The ceremony was to thank God for His bounty and to ask Him to provide rain for the crops in the coming year.

During the Feast of Tabernacles, Messiah related this to Himself, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:37-38).

So how did 12/25 get selected as the Messiah’s birthday?

Prior to this, December 25th had been the Roman feast of Sol Invictus (open unconquered Sun), where they celebrated Sun worship.

In 350 A.D. Pope Julius I declared December 25 the official date of Christmas.

By 529 A.D., after Christianity had become the official state religion of the Roman Empire, Emperor Justinian made Christmas a civic holiday.

The “Christianity” of the Roman Empire was the foundation of the Roman Catholic Church, which still worships the pagan gods of Rome; including the sun god, as evidenced by the Egyptian Obelisk in the middle of St. Peter’s Square, which represents Ra, the sun god.

Do you believe that our Messiah is honored by His followers celebrating His birth on a pagan holiday?

He said, “But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matt. 15:9).

He said, “Full well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition.” (Mark 7:9).

Christmas is not a command of God—it is a tradition of men. And every year, throughout the world, on December 25th, Christians do just that, they keep a vain tradition of pagan Rome!

Worship the Father in spirit and truth: for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” John 4:23

Worshiping on a pagan holy day is not worshiping the Father in truth, and it is from the spirit of the evil one, to remove praise from the Father.

Jeremiah clearly describes the pagan customs of people decorating trees.

“Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen…the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree but speak not…Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil neither also is it in them to do good” Jeremiah 10:2-5

Though you’re not thinking pagan thoughts while setting up and decorating your Christmas tree, you are carrying out a pagan tradition, of which the Father cannot be pleased.

The Birth of Yeshua Messiah.

Since Yeshua was conceived six months after John the Baptist, and we have established a likely date for John’s birth, we need only move six months farther down the Jewish calendar to arrive at a likely date for the birth of Yeshua.

From the 15th day of the 1st month, Nisan, we go to the 15th day of the 7th month, Tishri. And what do we find on that date? It is the festival of Tabernacles!

The 15th day of Tishri begins the third and last festival of the year to which all the men of Israel were to gather in Jerusalem for Temple services. (Lev 23:34)

Isaiah 7:14 ““Therefore יהוה Himself gives you a sign: Look, the maiden conceives and gives birth to a Son, and shall call His Name Immanu’ĕl” 1. Footnote: Ěl with us.”

Immanuel means “Elohim with us“. The Son of Yah the Heavenly Father had come to dwell with, or tabernacle on earth with His people.

John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh and pitched His tent among us, and we saw His esteem, esteem as of an only brought-forth of a father, complete in favour and truth.” Footnote: 1. An indication that His birth was during the Festival of Booths. which is in the fall.

The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), occurs five days after the Day of Atonement, and is a festival of rejoicing and celebration of deliverance from slavery in Egypt (Leviticus 23:42-43).

Luke 2:7-11 “And she gave birth to her first-born Son, and wrapped Him up, and laid Him down in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in a lodging place. And in the same country there were shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And look, a messenger of יהוה Yah stood before them, and the esteem of יהוה Yah shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. And the messenger said to them, “Do not be afraid, for look, I bring you good news of great joy which shall be to all people. Because there was born to you today in the city of Dawiḏ a Saviour, who is Messiah, the Master. “

Why was there no room at the inn? Bethlehem is only about 5 miles from Jerusalem, and all the men of Israel had come to attend the festival of Tabernacles as required by the law of Moses. Every room for miles around Jerusalem would have been already taken by pilgrims, so all that Mary and Joseph could find for shelter was a stable.

During Tabernacles, everyone was to live in temporary booths (Sukkot), as a memorial to Israel’s pilgrimage out of Egypt – Lev. 23:42-43. The birth of the Savior, in what amounted to a temporary dwelling rather than a house, signaled the coming deliverance of Yah’s people from slavery to sin, and their departing for the promised land, which is symbolized by Tabernacles.

Also of note is the fact that the Feast of Tabernacles is an eight day feast (Lev 23:36, 39). Why eight days? It may be because an infant was dedicated to Yah by performing circumcision on the eighth day after birth:

Luke 2:21 “And when eight days were completed for Him to be circumcised, His Name was called יהושע Yeshua, the Name given by the messenger before He was conceived in the womb.

So as infant, Messiah would have been circumcised on the eighth and last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, a Sabbath day.

  1. I truly believe that Jesus was not born on December 25th. But it’s hard to try and explain Him being born during the Feast of Tabernacles. Every male had to be in Jerusalem during that festival. However when the Roman emperor Augustus decreed a census to be taken, everyone had to return to their own ancestral town to register for this census. So how could Joseph be in Jerusalem for the festival and yet be in Bethlehem for the census?

    • Tony, look at a map and you will see that Bethlehem is located just South of Jerusalem, so Joseph could have observed the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, and also registered for the census in Bethlehem.

  2. are these comments the best way to contact you? I have posted before but never see my comment or any reply.
Anyways with first fruits I was wondering what you thought of matt 27:52-53? Seems like these were the first to be resurrected?

    • Sorry for the slow reply. Sometimes WordPress doesn’t alert me to comments. And I have many websites that people comment on.
Messiah raised people from the dead, but that wasn’t unto their judgment in the end times. The people who arose in Matthew 27:52-53 did not get raised into heaven or to their judgment. So they weren’t resurrected. We don’t know what happened to them, as the text does not give us that information.

  3. Hello David, I’d like to say that from the age of 16, 1975, until today I have not celebrated the Catholic Christmas holiday. I was raised a Catholic, but I got to the point where I saw how foolish it was and this was before I became a Christian. (1984) After I became a Christian and married my husband and he knew about the Catholic church and the holidays and taught me so much more than I knew we never brought Christmas into our home nor did we teach our children to celebrate it, they even witness to other children and we were actually kicked out of places because of our children witnessing against Christmas.
In the last 10 or so years it has been great to see more and more Christian’s eyes being opened to the truth of the infiltration of the RCC into the churches. Although more mainstream Protestant denominations never truly left the RCC, just some of it, that’s why it’s so easy for them to return, they barely left.
Most of the information on your site is not new to me. One man who greatly influenced my husband and myself was Alberto Rivera, whom you may be familiar with. IE Catholic holidays, rapture teachings, the Trinity, etc. He was Jesuit Priest sent to infiltrate the Churches in Spain and So. America. My husband and Alberto talked for many hours on the phone and the one thing he told him to always remember is “Don’t take your eyes off the Catholic Church.” Your studies are well done and in depth. I pray for your protection in this evil world and the strength to continue your work.
May the Father Bless and keep you in his loving arms.
    In Jesus’ name

    • Hello Cathy, thank you for sharing your story! That’s great that the Spirit guided your path to come out of the teachings of Rome, and that your children understand the truth!

I’ve read many of Alberto Rivera’s teachings, especially regarding the RCC priests helping to write the Qur’an and prop up Mohammed as their prophet, which has misled billions of Muslims with a false religion. https://ironclayfeet.com

Indeed, the RCC and it’s leader is the enemy of Messiah and His saints.

Thank you for your prayers. May our Heavenly Father bless and keep you and your family!
      David
