Nathan Roberts False Teaching About Torah Being Nailed To The Cross

Nathan Roberts of FlatEarthDoctrine posted the following false teaching on Facebook.  I’ll add my comments in red.

Here’s a working definition, looking for suggestions…

Torah Terrorist: Preaching salvation is through grace by faith in Jesus Christ to receive the Holy Spirit to put themselves under the Mosaic Law, though that was the very thing that was nailed to the cross (Colossians 2:13-14).

Nathan Roberts posted this comment on Facebook, showing his judgmental and divisive nature.  Sad story!

Colossians 2:13-14 tells you what was nailed to the cross; the written record of our transgressions, which legally are against us and condemn us.

“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;”

It is the sacrificial blood of Messiah as the Passover Lamb which frees us from this condemnation and sets us free.

The ceremonial law of sacrificing a Passover Lamb is ended, as Messiah fulfilled that divine appointment, but the Apostle Paul is not saying that the Torah was nailed to the cross!

What is the true gospel?

Ephesians 2:8-9

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

We are saved by faith, not works.  But faith without works is a dead faith, it’s not a real faith, for faith compels action.

1 Corinthians 15:1-11

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.”

Those who preach against the true gospel…are accursed.

Galatians 1:5-9

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

What Nathan Roberts fails to understand is that the whole Gospel is not just Messiah dying on the cross and rising again.  The Gospel story was written on the Mazzaroth, the ecliptic circle in the expanse of heavens, the circle of Isaiah 40:22. Read Biblical Proofs Of The Geocentric Globe Earth

Yahuah defined seven Holy Feast Days, which pointed to divine appointments that Messiah is fulfilling, to redeem His set-apart people:

Messiah fulfilled the spring Feast of Passover, as the Passover Lamb, which paid for our sins.

After Messiah died on the cross, He continued to fulfill the feast days, proving that the Torah, the Mosaic Covenant, was not nailed to the cross.

Messiah fulfilled the spring Feast of Unleavened Bread, as He was sinless in the grave.

Messiah fulfilled the spring Feast of First Fruits when He rose again.

Messiah fulfilled the summer feast of Pentecost when He poured out His Father’s Spirit on believers.

And Messiah has not fulfilled the fall Feast Days, so it’s not possible that Torah was nailed to the cross:

Messiah will return on the fall Feast of Trumpets, at the last trump.

Messiah will make judgment on the fall Feast of Atonement.

And Messiah will marry His bride on the fall Feast of Tabernacles.

Nathan Roberts seems to ignore the witness of the Apostle John and Messiah, regarding obeying Yahuah’s commandments:

“By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and guard His commands. For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands,a and His commands are not heavy.” 1 John 5:2-3

“And this is the love, that we walk according to His commands. This is the command, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.” 2 John 1:6

“And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of Yahusha Messiah.” Revelation 12:17

“Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of Yahusha.”Revelation 14:12

Do we have to obey Yahuah’s commandments to earn salvation?  To earn merit?

No! We do it out of love, for Yahuah is salvation!  We do it to honor Him.  We do it to strive to live a pure lifestyle.

The law, the Torah, is written on the set-apart saints hearts:

“See, the days are coming,” declares Yahuah, “when I shall make a renewed covenant with the house of Yisra’ěl and with the house of Yehuḏah,  not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I strengthened their hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares Yahuah.  “For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’ěl after those days, declares Yahuah: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.” Jeremiah 31:31-33

The irony of Nathan Roberts’ statement is that Messiah didn’t abolish the Torah, He took it to the next level:

Messiah pointed to the commandment against adultery, and He said that even looking at a person with lust in your heart, is to be guilty of adultery.

Messiah pointed to the commandment against murder, and He said that even looking at a person with hate in your heart, is to be guilty of murder.

Abraham believed by faith and he was saved, but he strived to obey the Torah.

The Apostle John believed by faith and he was saved, but he strived to obey the Torah.

We are saved by faith, but we should strive to obey the Torah, for Yahuah never changes.

It’s amazing that Nathan Roberts calls people who strive to obey the Father’s commandments, ‘terrorists’!

Nathan Roberts of FlatEarthDoctrine also abuses the Scriptures about the shape of the earth, proclaiming that the ‘Bible says Flat Earth.’
