Christians Are A Stumbling Block To Jews Believing In Messiah

This Revelation 18:4 – Come Out Of Her study focuses on how Christians are a stumbling block to Jews.

Many Christians say that we are to pray for the Jews and believe that many Jews will come to faith in the end times. This idea is based on their belief in the futuristic prophecy fulfillment explanations, which are centered on the Jews in Israel.

We definitely should pray for Jews to come to faith in Messiah, but the challenge is that the beliefs of most Christians are a stumbling block to Jews.

Most Christians believe in and teach concepts that are foreign to the Jews who are well-studied in the Torah. Many people shun the Old Testament and proclaim to be ‘New Testament Christians,’ which is contrary to everything a Jew believes in. We have to show Jews how the New Testament fulfills the promises in the Old Testament.

Most Christians put their primary focus on Messiah instead of the Heavenly Father, which is contrary to what a Jew believes. Messiah put the primary focus on the Father. Messiah pointed to the Father and said we are to pray to the Father in His name. Messiah proclaimed that we are to obey the Father’s commandments.

Most Christians proclaim the English transliteration of Messiah’s name, Jesus, instead of realizing that Jews look for a Messiah who has a Hebrew name or Aramaic name such as Yahshua. We have to show how the different languages transliterations point to the same Messiah.

Most Christians celebrate Easter and Christmas which are manmade traditions that Emperor Constantine and the Roman bishops created. We have to show Jews how Messiah is fulfilling the Father’s seven Holy Convocations, which are divine appointments, to redeem the saints for the kingdom.

Most Christians are misled about prophecy fulfillment, teaching false preterist and futuristic explanations. The historicist explanations provide proof of Messiah’s deity and the authority of the New Testament so that Jews can see that their promised Messiah has already come to atone for their sins.

I’ll expand my explanation about those statements in the following sections.

Proclaiming a futuristic 70th week of Daniel 9 removes the most important validation of Messiah’s deity, which causes Jews to stumble.

Most Christians assign the 70th week of Daniel 9 to an end-times seven-year tribulation period, but the 70th week was fulfilled after the 69th week when Messiah carried out His multiyear ministry, and the Gospel was proclaimed to the Jews. It has nothing to do with the end times. That is a deception from the enemy.

The 490-year timeline started in 457 BC when Artaxerxes gave the command to rebuild Jerusalem. That projects the 70th week as taking place from 27-34 AD. We know that Messiah died in 30/31 AD, which is in the middle of the seven years of the 70th week. His one-time sacrifice ended the need for temple animal sacrifices.

During the latter part of the seven years of the 70th week, the Gospel was proclaimed to the Jews. 3,000 Jews believed on the day of Pentecost, and more were added daily. The believers from the House of Israel formed the foundation of Messiah’s Ekklesia, His Church.

The ending of the 70th week was marked by the stoning of Stephen, who proclaimed the Gospel to the Jewish leaders, marking their continued rejection of Messiah. Then, the narrative of the book of Acts shows that from then on, the Gospel was also preached to the Gentile nations.

Jews need to know the fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel 9 to see that their promised Messiah has already come to atone for their sins.

Proclaiming a futuristic fulfillment of the Olivet Discourse hides proof from Jews of Messiah’s deity and the validity of the New Testament.

The things that Messiah described from Matthew 23:35 to Matthew 24:35 were fulfilled in that generation of Jews.

The time of great tribulation in Matthew 24:21 took place during the Jewish-Roman War of 66-70 AD when 1.1 million Jews died in and around Jerusalem from famine, pestilence, infighting, suicide, evisceration, crucifixion, and by the Roman sword.

Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed, and the Jewish leaders were either killed or taken captive as slaves, which effectively ended the Jewish nation. This was their punishment for rejecting their promised Messiah and delivering him up to be killed.

This fulfilled the prophecy in Daniel 9:26, which points to the Jews causing Jerusalem and the temple to be destroyed because of their abomination in rejecting their promised Messiah.

In John 14:29, Messiah declared, And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

Jews need to know the fulfillment of the Olivet Discourse to see that their promised Messiah foretold events that brought judgment on their nation so that they can see proof of His deity and validation of the New Testament.

Proclaiming a futuristic fulfillment of the prophecies in Revelation hides proof from Jews of Messiah’s deity and the validity of the New Testament.

In the book of Revelation, Messiah describes events from His first advent until His return. In the first verse, Messiah declared that the events would begin to take place shortly after the vision was given.

Most of the prophecies have been fulfilled during the last 1,900 years, as it’s about Satan using the leaders of the Roman beast kingdom (pagan emperors > antichrist beast popes > false prophet black popes) to make war with Messiah and His saints.

Because most Christians have been led to believe that the Revelation prophecies are fulfilled in an end-times 70th week of Daniel 9, they cannot provide this proof of Messiah’s deity as He foretold the events.

Jews believe in the Most High who sends the Anointed One, Messiah, so when Christians primarily point to the Son, it causes Jews to stumble.

The Israelites were taught that the Heavenly Father is the Most High Elohim and that He would send one like Moses per Deuteronomy 18:15, 18.

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

Jews do not believe this prophet is the Heavenly Father who comes to dwell in the flesh.

In Matthew 17:5, the Heavenly Father points to His only begotten Son as that prophet.

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Jews need to be taught that the Son existed before the creation of the earth and heavens, and was instrumental in the creation process. They need to see that the Son is the Word of Elohim, who came to dwell (tabernacle) among us. They need to see that Messiah was born supernaturally with no earthly father. They need to see that Messiah was without sin and is deity.

Yet, most Christians are unable to articulate these concepts to a Jew to help them see the truth. Instead, they give generic declarations about the concept of the trinity that say that Messiah is the Heavenly Father, which causes Jews to stumble.

Christians use the titles of God and Lord instead of understanding that Scripture gives us the name of the Father, YAH.

In the King James Bible, Psalms 68:4 reads, Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

The underlying Hebrew word for JAH is YAH. That is the Father’s name, which has been hidden.

The Hebrew word YAH is used 44 other times in the Old Testament manuscripts, but the KJV renders them as LORD instead of JAH or YAH.

Because most Christians are not aware that the Father’s name has been declared in the Hebrew manuscripts, they cause Jews to stumble when they only use the titles of God and Lord.

Christians only declare that the English transliteration of Messiah’s name, Jesus, is valid.

Applying simple logic, it should be obvious that Messiah’s parents and disciples did not use the English name Jesus, which did not exist then.

Instead, they used a Hebrew or Aramaic name such as Yahshua, which means Yah the Heavenly Father saves.

Yet some Christians call anyone who uses a Hebrew or Aramaic name for Messiah, Hebrew Roots people. This causes Jews to stumble as they fall into that category.

When Christians push aside the Old Testament to proclaim that they’re New Testament Christians, it causes Jews to stumble.

Jews don’t eat pork because it’s forbidden in the Torah. Most Christians think the command does not apply to them as they are New Testament believers.

The command to not eat pork was not given because Yah is a control freak. It was declared because our Creator knows that pigs eat anything, including disgusting things like excrement and dead bodies, and that they don’t have an effective digestive system to get rid of toxins.

This means that the meat of pigs in unclean and it is a host to many parasites, which can be be transferred into humans if the meat is not cooked thoroughly. Read Thirteen Problems With The Meat Of Pigs

Jews don’t eat shellfish because it’s forbidden in the Torah. Most Christians think the command does not apply to them as they are New Testament believers.

The command to not eat shellfish was given because our Creator knows that shellfish are bottom feeders whose role is to consume the excrement of other water animals, to keep the waters clean. That makes their meat unclean.

The nature of pigs and shellfish did not change when Messiah died for our sins.

And due to modern practices of how pigs are raised and the exposure of shellfish to pollutants in water, their meat is even more unclean than when the command was given.

Following the Father’s instructions results in a healthier body.

Instead of thinking that Yah’s commands as burdensome, we see that they are given out of love for us so that we have optimal health.

When Jews see that believers in Messiah eat pork and shellfish, they associate it with violating the Father’s instructions in the Torah, which causes them to stumble.

When Christians promote the manmade holidays of Easter and Christmas, it causes Jews to stumble.

Messiah died on Passover. He was dead in the grave on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which points to His sinlessness. He rose again on First Fruits. He sent the Spirit on the Day of Pentecost.

He will return on the Feast of Trumpets, judge on the Day of Atonement, and marry His bride on the Feast of Tabernacles.

These seven Holy Convocations in the Old Testament are divine appointments that Messiah is fulfilling to redeem the saints into the kingdom.

This is the true Gospel story, which has been hidden by the enemy, who has replaced the Father’s seven Holy Convocations with the manmade holidays of Easter and Christmas.

Messiah was not born on 12/25, the day that the pagans celebrate the birth of their sun god. Messiah was born on the fall Feast of Tabernacles, as He came to dwell (tabernacle) with us.

If Christians celebrated the seven Holy Convocations, they would be able to show how Messiah has already fulfilled four of them, to help Jews see that their promised Messiah has already come to atone for their sins.

I created a study called The True Gospel Story Decoded, which shows how Messiah is fulfilling His Father’s seven Holy Feast Days to redeem the set-apart saints. Here’s a link to the PDF of the study.

Proclaiming that the Torah, the instructions of Yah the Heavenly Father, have been put aside causes Jews to stumble.

Messiah has fulfilled the ceremonial laws that applied to the priest system, so we don’t have to sacrifice a Passover Lamb, as Messiah was the Spotless Lamb of Yah whose sacrifice atones for all sin.

But the moral law remains in effect, as we still should not worship other gods, take the Father’s name in vain, neglect the Sabbath rest, dishonor our mother and father, kill, commit adultery, steal, bear false witness, lust after another’s spouse, or covet other people’s possessions.

In Matthew 5:17-19, Messiah declared that He did not come to eliminate the law.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The Apostle John declares that if we love Yah, we keep His commandments, which were declared in the Old Testament.

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:2-3

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. 2 John 1:6

Revelation 12:17 points to Satan making war with Messiah’s saints who keep the commandments of Yah.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Here are more Revelation verses that declare the same message.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Revelation 14:12

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:14

We obey the Father’s commandments out of love for Him and His Son, not to earn salvation.

I pray that this study helps you see how the beliefs of most Christians cause Jews to stumble so that they are unable to understand that their promised Messiah has already come to atone for their sins and act as their High Priest before Yah the Heavenly Father.

Most Christians are out of sync with Scripture and are following the doctrine of men. Messiah commanded that we come out of these false teachings, so that we are a pure bride.
