Scott Shoob Q&A For The New Testament Unveiled Videos

Scott Shoob of Beit Tefillah Productions, has now declared that the Messiah and New Testament are fictitious, as he denies that there is Scriptural justification for a Messiah.

Here is his Q & A for the Series – “The New Testament Unveiled” video:

He did not answer the question which I asked him on Facebook and YouTube, who is Daniel 9:25-27 pointing to, if not Messiah?

Scott Shoob declared that there is no Scripture which declares that Elohim was sending a savior.

Scott says that Elohim never told anything to His prophets about a man coming to die for the sins of the people; and that the word mashiach is rendered as ‘anointed one’, and should not point to a Messiah

Mashiach is rendered as ‘anointed one’ in most verses, but in Daniel 9:25-26 it is rendered as Messiah.

I asked Scott Shoob, who that is pointing to, who would appear in the 70th week, who would be ‘cut off’, who would cause the sacrifices to end?

He responded and said that he covered that in the videos, but I’ve watched them all and did not hear him address it.  He mentioned Daniel 12, and said that it has not been fulfilled, which is false; but he did not mention Daniel 9.  Read Daniel 12 Desolation Fulfillment

The prophet Daniel knew that Messiah was coming in the 70th week.

Daniel 9:25-27 points to the promised Messiah appearing after the 69th week, meaning in the 70th week.

“Know, then, and understand: from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince is seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It shall be built again, with streets and a trench, but in times of affliction.  And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off and have naught. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the set-apart place. And the end of it is with a flood. And wastes are decreed, and fighting until the end.  And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. And on the wing of abominations he shall lay waste, even until the complete end and that which is decreed is poured out on the one who lays waste.”

It declares that He would be killed, ‘cut off’, just like Isaiah 53:8 foretold;

“He was taken from prison and from judgment. And as for His generation, who considered that He shall be cut off from the land of the living? For the transgression of My people He was stricken.

It declares that His sacrifice would end the need for temple sacrifices, as He is the one time sacrifice which pays for our sins.

Messiah ratified the everlasting covenant with His blood as the Passover Lamb, which effectively is YHUH saving His set-apart ones. Read The Covenant Of The 70th Week

Daniel 9:24 declared what would be fulfilled during the 70 weeks, most of which was fulfilled by Messiah in the 70th week.

“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.”

The Jews finished their transgression against YHUH by delivering the promised Messiah up to be killed.  Messiah paid the price for sins, made reconciliation for iniquity, and brought in everlasting righteousness; by His sacrifice as the spotless Lamb of YHUH.  He was anointed at His baptism, and the Jews were given the first opportunity to enter into covenant with YHUH through Messiah. Historians show that Messiah started His ministry at age 30, in 27 A.D., as He was born in 3 B.C.  He was killed, ‘cut off’, halfway through the 70th week, in 31 A.D.  And the Gospel was proclaimed to the Jews only until the end of the 70th week, and then it was also preached to the gentile nations.  So the timing of Messiah’s fulfillment of the 70th week of Daniel lines up perfectly with the 70 weeks of Daniel prophecy.

If you remove Messiah from that prophecy, there is no explanation for how Daniel 9:24 was fulfilled during the 70 weeks; which took place from 457 B.C., when the final order was given to restart sacrifices, until 490 years later in 34 A.D.  And there is no explanation for how the 70th week of Daniel was fulfilled.

That’s pretty lame that Scott Shoob did not address this important question of mine.  Maybe it’s because he cannot answer it.
