Nathan Roberts of FlatEarthDoctrine Says That Jesus Commandments Trump His Fathers

Nathan Roberts of FlatEarthDoctrine posted the following false teaching on Facebook.

Flat earther Nathan Roberts proclaimed on his FlatEarthDoctrine Facebook page:

“They trump all?”  By that he can only mean that they trump our Heavenly Father’s commandments.  Seriously?

Messiah said his two commandments are based on the Torah and the Prophets, who were from His Father.

“And Yahusha said to him, “ ‘You shall love YHUH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your mind.’  “This is the first and great command.  “And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’  “On these two commands hang all the Torah and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40

If you keep these two commandments, you are keeping His Father’s Torah ten commandments.

Messiah said that he came to fulfill the law, not destroy it.  He is our example, we are to mimic Him!

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.” Matthew 5:17

Messiah did not create two new commandments to replace His Father’s commandments, as his Father proclaimed the same things:

“And you shall love YHUH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might.” Deuteronomy 6:5

“Do not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the children of your people. And you shall love your neighbour as yourself. I am YHUH.” Leviticus 19:18

How do you show your love for Elohim?  Is it not by obeying His commandments, his instructions, his law?

The first four of the ten commandments are about loving YHUH, the remaining six commandments are about loving others.  Messiah was reinforcing that we are to obey His Father’s commandments.

These New Testament verses reinforce that we are to obey the Father’s commandments:

“By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and guard His commands. For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy.” 1 John 5:2-3

“And this is the love, that we walk according to His commands. This is the command, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.” 2 John 1:6

“And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of Yahusha Messiah.” Revelation 12:17

“Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of Yahusha.” Revelation 14:12

“So Holy Spirit come?”  The Spirit was sent to help us obey the Father’s commands.

“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” Jeremiah 31:31-33

Nathan Roberts is very confused about what Scripture is proclaiming.  YHUH, our Heavenly Father, does not change.

“And you shall know that YHUH your Elohim, He is Elohim, the trustworthy Ěl guarding covenant and kindness for a thousand generations with those who love Him, and those who guard His commands,” Deuteronomy 7: 9

We are to strive to obey His commandments, His instructions, out of love; not to earn salvation.

Nathan Roberts is also very confused about what Scripture proclaims about the shape of the earth, as he takes Bible verses out of context, to make them seem like they’re pointing to a flat earth.
